This was segment was orginally part of the feature film, "Make Mine Music" (1946). When this short was shown seperately on some of the old Disney Channel animated short shows in the 1990's, the bar scene was unfortuantly cut out.
I didn't have Disney Channel as a kid, so I must have seen it on some kind of Wonderful World of Disney special.
I found the idea of living hats to be quite disturbing. All that cartoon needed is a ventriloquist dummy and I would have never been able to sleep again.
