Alfred, Let's Go Shopping

Went into town for holiday decorations today and saw a lot of cool stuff:

The Spirit Halloween had a lot of Nightmare Before Christmas and Corpse Bride merch, which I was kind of expecting, and a whole wall of Haunted Mansion stuff, which I was definitely not expecting.

Target had this Neca Goliath action figure:

and also some cool-looking figures for something called Disney Mirrorverse, which I guess is a cellphone game you can't play in the U.S.?  Seems weird to have merchandise for a game you can't download yet, but what do I know.

and, coincidentally, some of the Kingdom Hearts games are coming to the Nintendo Switch, which means I'll finally be able to play them.

Change was in the air:

and the walls that divided us for so long were crumbling:

Besides being a fascinating time capsule of the era, this issue also boasts a museum-ready Phantom Blot story by Stephen De Stefano and Lee Nordling.

De Stefano draws the greatest Blot.

Just gorgeous stuff, well worth the three bucks plus shipping I spent on Ebay.

I am home sick with Captain Trips,  so I took the opportunity to finally read this oddity I came across recently: a funny-animal detective...
