Dip Stick
Think Howard The Duck was Marvel's first bootleg Donald? Ladies and Gentlemen, meet Dippy Duck!
Dippy Duck was written by none other than Stan The Man Lee, and drawn by Joe Maneely.
I'm pretty sure Dippy Duck has some form of brain damage.
Dippy Duck is notable for being the final comic to feature the Atlas globe logo. It's a fun little bit of Marvel history.
He's also kind of a jerk.
If you really want to read more, the comic is available out there on the Interwebs.
Aside from the fact that he wears a bow tie and no pants, he's not all that similar to Donald. Dippy wouldn't last two minutes on the mean streets of Duckburg.

Model Home
Sometimes the Internet shows you something that perfectly aligns with your interests, something that you had no idea even existed but you desperately need. Suddenly, a gaping hole exists in your life; a hole that can only be filled by haunting Ebay and garage sales until that item is finally in your possession. Ladies and Gentlemen, I submit to you
How great are these??? The same company made Pirates of the Caribbean kits as well. These would look great on the shelf next to my Polar Lights Batman and Munsters models.
Thanks to Jon's Random Acts Of Geekery for the pics.

Comic Shop News
Oh, hey, speaking of Boom! Studios... Marvel is going to reprint the Boom Cars and Toy Story comics as Disney/Pixar Presents magazine.
And, of course, the Complete Carl Barks collection from Fantagraphics is chugging right along. Here's an interview with Rich Tommaso on re-coloring the classics.
Three Amigos
EPCOT Center was a pleasant surprise for me during my last trip to Walt Disney World. I remembered EPCOT as being purely educational and, therefore, purely boring. It turns out that Journey Into Imagination has been completely retooled (and features Eric Idle!), the aquarium is now an aquarium starring the characters from Finding Nemo, and the El Rio del Tiempo boat ride is now the Gran Fiesta Tour starring The Three Caballeros!
It's not the World's most exciting ride, but the animation was funny, and I loved the Small World kids bashing around a Donald pinata (conveniently for sale in the gift shop!). If you're a fan of the cartoon (and really, who isn't?), it's definitely worth checking out.

PK A-OK
This is the greatest thing ever: Scanlations of Paperinik New Adventures.
I've been dying to read these comics for years. I hope Boom! or Marvel or somebody eventually puts out official translations of this stuff (and Mickey Mouse Mystery Magazine!), because it's a blast.

Dell Tron 3030
I am floored by the number of Disney comics Dell put out in the 1950s and 60s under the "Dell Four Color" title. I'm not just talking about the familiar stuff like Uncle $crooge, and Mickey Mouse, here; I'm talking Nikki Wild Dog of the North and Beaver Valley. Check out what you get when you search Cover Browser for "Dell Disney":
(I'm not sure if these last two are actually part of the Four Color series, but you get the idea)
And this isn't even scratching the surface! A guy could collect Dell Disney comics for his entire life and still not come close to a complete set.
In today's world where the top-selling comic of 2009 moves 193,000 units, it's astonishing to think that the Dell titles sold in the millions, with Four Color coming out multiple times a week! Funny books are a funny business.
