Bugs is inferior! Worn out and aged!
Cartoon Brew has excerpts from a nutty 1989 publicity packet for The Disney Afternoon. The material brutally slams Bugs Bunny and then-newcomer Tiny Toon Adventures, and also blasts other kiddie cartoon favorites like Alvin and the Chipmunks.
It's very weird to see mudslinging like this from the House of Mouse...the 80's were a strange time.

Tron Variant Covers!
Marvel comics in November will have insanely cool Tron variant covers! I keep trying to not be interested in this movie, but Disney keeps throwing all this cool Tron stuff at me. It's not fair.
I get emails.

Not Disney: Sunday I'm In Love
It's got nothing to do with Disney, but it's not like anybody reads this blog on the weekends anyway.

Launchpad McQuack
From Topless Robot: "Here, the Manchester-based band Well Wishers perform their cover of Sex Bob-Omb's "Launchpad McQuack" (not the song's actual name) from the first volume of Scott Pilgrim at a local comic store's celebration of the final volume."
I liked the Scott Pilgrim movie, and am looking forward to its release on video. It wasn't perfect, but it was the most visually interesting movie I'd seen in a long time. The comics are a blast, too.

An Excellent Idea
The bank robbers in this John Stanley Woody Woodpecker strip look an awful lot like Scrooge's nemeses the Beagle Boys. Maybe Woody lived in Duckburg for a while between gigs?
From the amazing blog Stanley Stories.
